Become An Umpire

Step One: Register with WWLUA

1. Become a member of USL as an official(if you aren't one already) Join Here
(If you have any trouble, get help during a classroom clinic)

2. Email your Umpire Registration and Agreement Form to registrar@wwlua.org.

3. Mail the following form(s)*:

⇒ Returning Umpires

1. Renew your USL membership. Renew Here

2. Email your Umpire Registration and Agreement Form to registrar@wwlua.org.

3. Mail the following form(s)*:

  • a. IRS W-9 Form (only if you are new to WWLUA or have a change of address.)
⇒ Umpires Under 18 Years Old

1. Renew your USL membership. Renew Here
(If you are new to USL, do this after your clinic session)

2. Email your Umpire Registration and Agreement Form to registrar@wwlua.org.

3. Mail the following forms*:

* Mail forms to WWLUA, Box 255, 227 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, WA 98004.

Step Two: Attend a Classroom Clinic

1. Register for Class Online
Returning umpires must register online for a Returning Umpire Clinic that matches their level. The 2012 schedule is posted on our Umpire Training Calendar.

2. After your clinic, take your 2012 Umpire Test online (Coming Soon). Choose "Washington State" as your local umpire board.

Step Three: Participate in On-Field Training and Rating

Umpires receive on-field training and must earn a rating in order to be qualified to umpire games. These opportunities take place in early March.

Step Four: Request Game Assignments

Go to the WSLA League or the NWWLA League at Sportability.com to start requesting games.
